Kötschach-Mauthen is located at the upper end of the Carinthian Gailtal, embedded in breathtaking mountain formations, belongs to the Nassfeld - Pressegger See tourist region and offers a small family ski area with 6 kilometers of slopes as well as restaurants, shops, all hiking and cycling tours, the Hike World with 25 themed trails and a large swimming pool (Aquarena water and wellness oasis). The well-known Sun Skiworld Nassfeld ski area with 110 kilometers of slopes and 30 lifts is approx. 25 km away (accessible with the free ski bus). Kötschach-Mauthen is an ideal destination for both a sun and snow holiday. For the active, sporty holidaymaker, but also ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, and is known for its magnificent nature and healthy air. In summer the options are truly endless, with canoeing, rafting, mountain biking, hiking and cycling.
