The ""Krapflgeusche"" holiday home in Muhr in Salzburger Land is an ideal starting point for families and friendly couples who love cycling and mountain tours as well as alpine hut hikes. Wonderful alpine summers, breathtaking mountain and dreamy winter landscapes paired with plenty of space and a large garden await you here! Notably, all the bedrooms and the entire property is equipped with floor heating, so rest assured that you would be warm and cosy even if during bone-chilling winters. There is a spacious terrace where you can linger with your morning coffee and garden furniture where you can enjoy a wholesome breakfast and unwind after an active day outdoors. You can also employ a barbecue or a grill during the evenings and enjoy delicious grilled food amid the mirth and laughter of your loved ones.
The house is located in the beautiful village of Muhr and is surrounded by meadows and alpine pastures. The region has also been a UNESCO biosphere reserve since 2020. Ski areas such as the Katschberg or St. Margarethen are only a few minutes away by car. All necessary amenities and shops are located in Sankt Michael im Lungau and can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car.
The house is situated on an 800 m² fenced plot, where children can play outside and your dog can let off steam to his heart's content. A complete renovation has been lovingly carried out in recent years. The kitchen is fully equipped and all bedrooms and the living room have satellite TV (including streaming services in the living room). The large kitchen with floor heating is well-equipped for self-catering and preparing scrumptious homecooked meals. You can park on the property directly at the house. There is a carport also provided to keep your cars safe and scratch free.

Date of stay: July 2023 - August 2023We had a very nice holiday in this house. It has a pleasant owner and lies in a beautiful and pittoresk valley. It s quite large (it has, for example, three larger bedrooms) and new, has a nice garden where you can sit and (our sons) play outside, and it has all the facilities you need. Mountain walks are easily made in the valley itself (smaller ones in the village of Muhr itself or larger ones more to the end of the valley to the origin of the Muhr or the Rotgüldensee) or in neighbouring villages in the Lungau region like St. Michael i.L (approx. 10 kms away). Several skilifts in these villages allow you to go up and make walks even higher in the mountains with very nice views. We also visited the Porsche museum in (quite touristic) Gmünde, which is also not that far away. Last but not least, various larger supermarkets are present in St. Michael in addition to a small one in Muhr itself, which is a 7 minute walk from the house, opens early and where you can also buy bread.

Date of stay: July 2023Heerlijk vakantiehuis in een prachtige omgeving! Het is een mooi en goed afgewerkt huis, voorzien van alle gemakken. Ook in de keuken ontbreekt niets. Het overdekte terras, waar we s'avonds heerlijk hebben gezeten, maakt het plaatje compleet. Ook onze hond kon lekker vrij lopen in de omheinde tuin. Dit huis is een prima uitgangspunt voor vele uitstapjes.

Date of stay: August 2022Een heel gezellig en comfortabel vakantiehuis met een overdekt buitenterras en een leuke tuin in een klein en rustig dorpje. In de buurt zijn er vele wandelpaden die leiden naar een berghut waar je van een drankje en/of een maaltijd met prachtig uitzicht kan genieten.

Date of stay: June 2022The vacation home was really nice, recently refurbished, very spacious! The fully fenced garden is absolutely superb, specifically if you take children or dogs with you. The whole neighbourhood is very nice and calm, the environment is like paradise. Mountains all around, even waterfall that can be seen from the garden. The location is trully fantastic. The owners are really helpful, the house is fully equipped on a high standard. If you want a relaxing holiday in the mountains, kind of hidden from the busy, dull weekdays, that’s the place to go!!! Highly recommended!!!! I’d definitely go back anytime! Thanks for the great experience!
