The house is very well heated thanks especially to its two large cast-iron stoves on the ground floor. Walks or bicycle rides will be great for exploring the Hautes Fagnes Nature Park. In winter, snow walks and especially cross-country skiing thanks to plenty of ski track less than 5 km from the house is advised. Not to mention Malmedy, the Reinhardstein castle, Bütgenbach lake and the car circuit at Spa-Francorchamps.
