A good base for an unforgettable visit to the most authentic villages in Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany such as Hasselt, Genk, Bokrijk, Valkenburg, Roermond, Maastricht, but also don't forget a trip to Aachen, Dusseldorf. Cinema enthusiasts can go to Kinepolis Hasselt, where Plopsaland indoor is also located, for motorsport enthusiasts, the circuit of Zolder is nearby. You can walk/cycle on the Hengelhoef Domain with its plank and tree path or in the Hoge Kempen National Park with the barefoot path or Tenhaagdoornheide, rich in inland dunes, ponds, fens, forests and heathland.
