Tips Owner
You can make plenty of trips nearby a cottage, explore the surroundings by car or you can stay at the cottage and enjoy a view to the surrounding meadows and forests from the terrace. Trips by walk nearby the cottage: Pecka castle – is about 5 kilometres far from the cottage. Go down to the village asphalt road and turn to the right, once you meet green tourist sign, turn left and climb up the hill, follow green tourist sign on the trees to Pecka town. A visit a sweet- shop on the square is recommended. Pecka Castle is the only interior accessed object in the whole region of the Central Podkrkonoší and Krkonoše. It attracts not only the beautiful surrounding countryside with unique views of the Giant Mountains, but also the focus of tours exclusively on its own, authentic history.Aquapark Pecka – it is about 4 kilometres far from the cottage and you can find there an outside swimming pool, there is a possibility to rent a playground for beach volleyball, basketball, tennis, badminton, petanque and climbing wall. Nová Paka town – is about 4 kilometres far from the cottage. Go down to the village asphalt road then join and follow green tourist signs (still along the asphalt road) and turn to the right once the green sign turns up to the hill and forest. Follow green tourist sign through the National Park Sýkornice to Nová Paka town. You can visit there a Museum, a Treasury of Precious Stones or a local Brewery. You can have lunch or dinner at a good restaurant Ježkův statek. Novopacké waterfalls – on the way to Nova Paka town, about in the middle of your trip in the forest, you find a sign to the right with „VODOPADY“ (it means waterfalls), after about two kilometres you reach the watterfall (not interesting in a very dry part of the summer as there is very little water). Trips by car (by 35 km):Jičín - is a picturesque, historical, but also modern and dynamic town. The first records of the town of Jičín date back to 1293. After 1337, Jičín was in the possession of several significant families – the Vartenberg, Trčka of Lípa and Smiřický of Smiřice. Jičín offers a rare complex of well-preserved historical monuments of great significance, especially in the historical centre of the town around its beautiful square with arcades, the Baroque palace and the church of St James the Greater. Valdická Brána, the dominant landmark and a clock tower, is accessible and offers magnificent views of the entire town and its environs. The Prachov Rocks (Prachovské skály) - constitute a sandstone rock town. Thanks to open plateus you can enjoy lookouts from which you can see the Bohemian Paradise as if it was spreading on the palm of you hands. There are also wide-options for rock climbing. ZOO and Safari Park in Dvůr Králové nad Labem – large ZOO with plenty of animals species with possibility to do the tours through thier wildlife environment. A Dam of Forest of Kingdom – The dam on the Elbe near Dvur Kralove called Les království (you can visit it on the way to ZOO Dvur Kralove). This dam perfectly combines the technical solution with the aesthetic aspect of the building. In winter you can visit nearby Skiresorts Benecko or Herlíkovice or go directly to the Giant Mountains where are next skiresorts available. You can search on internet what would be the most suitable choice for you. Happy Land for Children in Radvánovice 11, Rovensko pod Troskami – a natural children's complex, which offers vistors original programmes supported by numerous activities, plus a wooden castle, a dwarf village, swings, jungle gyms and sand pits with real Czech garnets. You can also visit a capital of the Czech Republic - Prague. It is about 100 kilometres far and it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car to get there.
