The popular coastal hiking trail GR 34 leads along the harbor and the beaches for many kilometers and always offers breathtaking viewpoints. The Goëlo coast is a very scenic stretch of coast. Steep coasts alternate with small bays, fishing ports and sandy beaches. The highest cliffs in France are nearby, at the ""Pointe de Plouha"". From Saint-Quay-Portrieux, many trawlers set out to catch scallops.
