In just 10 minutes you can take the ferry to Royan. You will have an impressive view of the Cordouon lighthouse, or many tour operators offer boat trips to the famous sights of the region. The city of Royan, on the other side of the Gironde, is a seaside resort with an atypical architecture between characterful villas and modern design.
