The island of Poel is one of the most beautiful islands in Mecklenburg and is located in the middle of the Lübeck-Schwerin-Rostock city triangle. It can be easily reached from the Hanseatic city of Wismar via a dam (15 km). Timmendorf Beach is located on the western tip of Poel, and the actual town, Timmendorf, is about a kilometer behind it. Timmendorf Beach is the most popular beach on Poel and, with the lighthouse, pilot house and the small harbor as well as many water sports, offers ideal conditions for a beautiful Baltic Sea holiday. Leisure/environment: In addition to wide meadows, fields, long sandy beaches and culinary highlights, you will find a lot on the island of Poel meet many stone witnesses of the past. Leisure time in the Hanseatic city of Wismar: zoo, fun & adventure pool "Wonnemar" with wellness & sauna world, cinema, theater, port, historic old town. At the port in Kirchdorf, e-cars can be charged at the Stadtwerke Wismar public utility station getting charged. Charging e-cars at the house is not permitted.
