In the evening the grill is fired up - and you should also resort to wonderfully fresh fish from the Schaalsee fishery. Of course you can also just fish for your own fish. You live only 1,300 meters from the Schaalsee, there is a boat rental and a beautiful lido for bathing and swimming. In Zarrentin you will find various shops as well as restaurants, a lake promenade and a lido. The former Cistercian monastery, of which the east wing is still preserved today, is worth seeing. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve is located directly on the former inner-German border. A circular hike across the Strangen peninsula and along the Kirchensee impressively shows how formerly populated areas and border installations have been and are being reclaimed by nature. The just over 40-kilometer-long bike tour around the Schaalsee is also very beautiful.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Haus und auch die Lage finde ich gut. Man hat alles was man braucht. Die Ankunft, sowie die Abreise liefen reibungslos und die Vermieterin ist sehr höfflich. Das einzige was schade ist und uns gefehlt hat, war dass das Haus kein Internet hat. Aber nicht desto trotz waren wir zufrieden.
