Right next to the house at the courtyard entrance there is a new parking lot available for a fee (€10.00 per week). Plau am See is not only a climatic health resort, but also an extremely attractive town with a historic old town and many great restaurants serving regional cuisine. There are also sights worth seeing, such as the Plau castle tower from 1449 with its deep dungeon and narrow ascent, the well-known lift bridge from 1916 and the town church from the 13th century, which can be seen from afar. Highlights included: WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS Activities nearby: One of the most beautiful water sports areas in Germany awaits you here: active vacationers get their money's worth with fishing or diving, kayak tours or excursions with the passenger ship. The Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide nature park is located on the northern shore of the Plauer See. This wonderful holiday region is best discovered on long hikes or during a leisurely bike ride around the lake.
