It is not far to the sandy beach and the harbor, from where you can set off on a trip to the mudflats or make yourself comfortable in a beach chair while doing nothing. Activities nearby: The area is perfect for long walks or bike rides on the dike. Of course, a boat trip is also an essential part of your North Sea vacation. If you don't want to go deep-sea fishing (from Dornumersiel, about eight kilometers), you can take a day trip to the island of Baltrum instead. Or you can go paddling on the Harketief, a small river nearby. On days with bad weather in northern Germany, a trip to the Sturmfrei indoor play park offers plenty of variety for families with children.
