The house was better than we could have imagined - quirky and old, built in 1562, with a wood stove and higgledy-piggledy floors, a huge high-ceilinged top floor room bagged by our children, and yet with modern facilities - washing machine, induction hob, shower, wood burning stoves and central heating if needed. More than fully equipped, kind and helpful hosts, beautiful village, little local shops,.....
