Free time, distinations and curiosities The visitors are recommended to check out the mountain towns of Monteacuto and Pianaccio, both perfectly preserved and constructed using local stones. In particular, the sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Acero (XIV century) and the villages of Poggiolforato, Farne’ and Casa Fiocchi are all interesting attractions in the area. Local productions of note include organic herbs, grappa, liquors, jams and honey. Everything is produced with raw materials from the region. Of particular interest are the products of “Giardino di Arcibaldo”, an artistic handicrafts company and manufacturer of dried flower compositions.

Date of stay: July 2013Leuke week doorgebracht op een mooi domein. Gezellig zwembad met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen, feeërieke zonsondergang en leuke sfeer. We kregen bij aankomst een fles wijn -) Moeilijk om in de buurt op pad te gaan met de buggy, en het duurt wel even voor je het volgende dorp bereikt. Dit kon enkel met de auto, het was te ver om te voet te doen. Echter vrij afgelegen tov de grotere steden. NIet te toeristisch wat wij een groot pluspunt vonden. Een fijne vakantie die veel te snel voorbij ging!
