Description

The medieval hamlet of Serignana dates back to the 13th century and is located on the edge of the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna. Its careful restoration has created charming flats with attention to every detail that still preserve all the magic, history and culture of Tuscan tradition. From here you can set off on wonderful excursions, immersing yourself in an environment, the Tuscan Apennines, whose nature is unequalled in beauty and wild authenticity.

SAGRESTIA 1 overlooks the village square, has an independent entrance and is on two floors. Ground floor: living room with an antique fireplace with side seats, the eat-in kitchen with masonry worktop complete with dishwasher, fridge, hob and oven, and the charming window that enjoys the view of the beautiful square. Wooden ceilings, terracotta floors. Outside there is a large area for private use with a table for outdoor dining. First floor: 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath.
Around the large and charming park that surrounds the entire Borgo, with swimming pool and barbecue. Free HIFI.
A communal area called ‘Grottino’ is available to guests of the Borgo where everyone can stay and find books to read, magazines, tourist brochures of the area and of Florence, children's games, board games.
From 15 June to 30 September there is also a small gym set up in the ‘Stanza dei Portali’.

A few hundred metres from the Borgo you can go fishing, trekking on foot, horseback or mountain-bike, visit the numerous waterfalls and the important peaks of the Apennines. In the Mugello area about 20-30 km away are: the archaeological site of Frascole (Dicomano), Lake Bilancino, the International Mugello Circuit, the Poggio dei Medici Golf Course.

Tips Owner

It is possible to spot many kinds of wildlife such as roe-deer, deer, fallow-deer, wild-boars, porcupine, hawks, hares, pheasants and with a bit of luck the wolf. A few hundreds metres away, various offers can be availed of fishing, foot and horse trekking or mountain bike, along approved pathways (sentieri segnati C.A.I.) and the National Park and tracks and trails of the G.E.A. In the vicinity one can visit several waterfalls such as the famous Acquacheta (described by Dante in his “canto XVI dell’Inferno”), or the ones of Calabuia, Pretella, Doccione, Pescino, also one can view the most prominent summits Mount Falterona (1654 m.) One must not forget to see Passo del Muraglione (The Muraglione Pass) (907 m.) that takes its name from the great wall that was commissioned by the Grand Duke Leopoldo II in 1836, and gateway to the land of Romagna from which one can enjoy the spectacle of Falterona’s valley. There, also visits can be organized into the Park where one can acquire first hand knowledge of its environs. In the territory of the Mugello at about 30 km. From Serignana one can find: . Serignana, what a wonderful place it is! The surroundings, the little village itself and the appartments. If you're looking for a peaceful and quiet place this is your destination. Time stands still here. Wake up with the singing birds, the squirrels and nothing more, just silence. Organise a hike in the beautiful mountains, have a lunch in Rifugio Castellina and take a dip in the pool. Reading, eating, enjoying the peace and quiet, what a great week we had! This is the place to forget the world and unwind, charge your battery. Great place for couples who enjoy nature. Nicoletta is in charge of the place, what a caring and passionate woman she is, and practical when you need things to get sorted. Grazie mille Nicolleta! arrivederci! And about the road to the apartments, it's not what we are used to, but hey if you want to get to paradise you have to work for it!!! Loved the styling of the apartments, everything you need is there.

Wat hebben wij een fijne week gehad hier. Als je van historie, natuur en wandelen houdt is dit een heel fijn huis. Elk huis heeft een eigen privé tuin / terras. Zwembad en barbecue zijn gezamenlijk maar het is nooit te druk. De eigenaren zijn erg aardig en behulpzaam ( ik was mijn iPhone vergeten, die werd meteen nagestuurd) De weg is best te doen als je rustig rijdt, met onze personenauto was het niet erg vervelend of zo. Je kunt er prachtig wandelen

Het huisje ligt in een fantastische omgeving maar de weg er naar toe is erg erg slecht. Dit staat niet beschreven maar dit is niet zo maar een onverharde weg maar gewoon op sommige stukken geen weg. We konden pas om 18.00 uur inchecken omdat ze aan het schoonmaken waren. Nou schoon was het helaas niet. Er is veel ongedierte en overal hangen spinnenwebben. Het was 35 graden, maar ook snachts is het vreselijk warm in het huis. Maar..... de locatie is fantastisch, het zwembad heerlijk. Je hebt veel privacy. De eigenaresse is ook zeer vriendelijk. Al met al een zeer leuke vakantie.

De ontvangst was uitermate vriendelijk, een huis voorzien van alle gemakken in een prachtige omgeving. De onverharde weg naar de Borg di Serignana was wel een avontuur. Gelukkig hadden we een comfotabele huurauto met 4 x 4 aandrijving dus hebben wij hier geen problemen mee gehad.
