Tips Owner

The tranquil roads, the sweet and relaxing landscape, the mild climate (even in winter), the trails - suitable for both professional cyclists and amateurs alike - are the perfect setting for a ride in the wild, authentic Maremma. Over time the landscape around Castagneto Carducci has been redefined, but has always kept its extraordinary and charming beauty. The vineyards give motion to the landscape and embrace irregular hills, as well as the coastal plain. Castagneto Carducci cannot be but proud of this diversified morphology, which has been able to combine tourism with enology, and has also contributed to the beauty of the landscape.

We had a nice time in May, the landscape of Tuscany was beautiful, it was not busy, we visited interesting ancient mining sites, particularly mount San Silvestro, volcanic landscapes and so-called fumeroles. The house owner is very friendly but only speaks italian. The house was clean when we arrived. You live in the proximity of a family business. The pictures of the house are a bit misleading in the sense that the house is not free-standing, surrounded by nature. At about 5 mtrs from the house (just behind the bush on the left side of the first picture) begins a parking lot. The house is attached to the house of the owners. It's more the sort of place where you have a glass of wine in the evening, sleep quietly to leave in the morning to visit attractions. Kitchen was a bit scarcely equipped. Perhaps you could ask the owner for practical things such as a cutting board. We left some basics (sugar, salt, oil, tea) Hopefully the next visitor can enjoy these.
