Date of stay: August 2023Review While the villa had several amenities (washing machine, clean towels and bedding etc) and a very large pool and outdoor area, unfortunately our stay was not as pleasurable. First and foremost, we were informed that check in can be done at 13.00, when we arrived the cleaners were still cleaning the interior. Additionally, when we discussed this, the reason was because they did not have time to clean the pool after the etna eruption, which I understand can be an issue. As a result, we were patient and did not use the pool for 2 days while also helping them clean it. Nonetheless, during our stay a potent draining smell was coming out of two of the bathrooms which was unbearable next to the kitchen. Out of 4 bathrooms, only 3 had a shower/bath. Only one of the bathrooms had proper mirrors. Furthermore, the bbq was a very poorly cheap bbq (charcoal and very small for a number of people) given the villa we were in. In addition, the cooker spark was not working and took various efforts to turn on (as no lighter or matches were made available). Furthermore, The check out time was at 10.00. At this time on the dot, the cleaners entered the premises while we were still there. Thus, overall the villa was comfortable but not worth the price paid for it, considering it cost us over €2,000.

Date of stay: May 2023 - June 2023My family stayed at Villa Germano (between Solarino and Floridia, Sicily) two weeks ago and had a lovely stay. Villa is very spacious and comfortable. We were a party of 10 with one child. Five large bedrooms with more beds than we actually needed. Out door area relaxing and well kept. The swimming pool is large and quite deep so children need close supervision. The two towns are close by and lovely to visit. Siracusa is only about 20k away. We did a day trip to Mt Etna which was easily manageable. Marina was very helpful and quickly sorted a couple of minor issues. Some of our party had a bit of difficulty finding it, not being used to Italian addresses, so the best tip is to look for Farm Oliva (olive oil producing company) and it is the property next door. I would highly recommend this villa.
