Villa Villa Serra Alta 31Fermignano - Italy (IT-52893)

The location is beautiful villa but not well maintained and was not well cleaned upon arrival. The kitchen was poorly cleaned and even the plates and glasses were dirty when we arrived. Very few utensils and there were no dishtowels to dry the dishes or rags to clean with. We were asked to keep the kitchen clean to avoid vermin but given nothing to do it with. The poolside was also very dirty and a lot of cigarette buds everywhere outside. We even spent a few hours cleaning the whole pool area so we could enjoy it. The poolside toilets were dirty and not cleaned. A lot of the furniture was worn down and in bad shape, we had bits of the worn down pleather from the diningroom chairs on our clothes most of the trip. The fridge and the freezer could not keep things cold and the fridge leaked every day. For most of the time the kitchen smelled of sewage despite filling all drains with water. We contacted the property manager but there was little he could do as the owner did not want anything done. The rent says it includes an insurance against damages but the owner tried charging us for things that were already broken when we arrived and a handcap handlebar that came off the wall when a handicapped person was using it. The dishwasher does not work. We had some problems with the outdoor lights that the manager could eventually figure out. Most of the rooms were fine, and included air conditioning. One room does not have a built in air conditioning but rather a very loud fan making it impossible to sleep with it turned on. The rooms closer to the pool do not have air conditioning. Not recommended for more than 26 people due to the lack of AC. Overall a nice stay in a beautiful environment. A short drive to Fermignano for all necessities and beutiful sights all around. The pool was a hit and was maintained well. Could be a great spot and a great rental with just a bit of maintenance and improvements.
