Floridia is a small town in the province of Syracuse on the east coast of Sicily. It was founded in 1628 and is characterized by a typical Mediterranean landscape. The sandy beach of Fontane Bianche and the beautiful rocky coasts can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. Activities nearby: The unique city of Syracuse is just a short drive from your vacation home. Even in ancient times it was considered very powerful and was once the cultural center of the Greeks. Even today, especially on the 40-hectare island of Ortygia, the core of the old town, you can still find many testimonies to the long history of this special city, for which you should plan a day. A tour to the nature reserve of Vendicari, around 40 kilometers away, a mixture of lagoons, sand dunes, rocky coastlines and sandy beaches, is also recommended. Here you can discover a variety of flora and fauna.
