Hobby ornithologists will get their money's worth in the Valle Cavanata and Foci dell'Isonzo nature reserves. A day trip to nearby Venice is also possible, it is best to go there by train; You will reach the lagoon city in about an hour and a half and will not have any parking problems. Other destinations for day trips are Trieste, Udine, Pordenone, Cividale and Gorizia
