Description: Holiday home with a view by the Balsfjord south of Tromsø. Scenic surroundings and a great place for winter experiences with the northern lights and ski trips. Lovely hiking terrain in the mountains and a good starting point for day trips by car. Sea fishing in the fjord. The house was built in 1930 and renovated in 2020. On the ground floor, there are kitchen, living room, bathroom and one bedroom with a double bed. The 1st floor has 2 bedrooms, each with 2 single beds. TV with Norwegian channels and free internet with large capacity. Heat pump and wood-burning stove in the living room, which provides good and comfortable heat on cold winter days. From the house and the terrace there is a magnificent view of the beautiful fjord landscape. In winter, the northern lights dancing in all colors in the sky are a beautiful sight, while the bright nights in spring and summer are a wonderful experience. The area is quiet and child-friendly with long shallow beaches along the fjord. There is a rich bird life here, especially in the spring when all the migratory birds arrive. There are fishing opportunities in the fjord. A good starting point for day trips by car to the Arctic city of Tromsø with many sights and to the Polar Zoo where animals such as bears, wolves, reindeer, lynx etc. can be experienced up close. Målselv Fjellandsby with a great alpine resort is approx. 50 minutes’ drive away. Also visit the island of Senja with its magnificent nature. From here there is a car ferry in the summer to Andenes, with the option of whale watching by boat out to sea. From Tromsø you can also reach Skjervøy by boat for whale watching. Experiencing the big whales up close is a great experience for the whole family. 4 km to the village center with colonial shop, cafes, pharmacy, liquor store etc. 80 km to Tromsø. A 13-foot boat with an electric motor is moored at the fjord, 100 m from the house, and can be rented. Due to the shallow shoreline, the boat cannot be used at low tide.
