For our Guests and friends:For us the most important thing is that you feel at home, we will do everything possible to make it that way.This is a small list with some places of interest that we recommend you personally, to visit, go eat, go to the beach, etc. Peralada:The town of Peralada breathes history on all sides, from the first Iberian walled enclosure to the medieval era, it is a perfect town to get lost in time.What to visit:• Recommended, 14th century Peralada`s castle, the guided tour includes visiting the library, with more than 80,000 antient book, the church and the cloister, the antique blown glass and the wine related museum.• Recommended, the Casino Castillo de Peralada, unique for its construction, during the summer months an important musical festival is celebrated, world-wide known artists performing every year.Where to eat:• Sotamuralla- Mediterranean cuisine, a little expensive but excellent.C/ Sant Sebastià, 20, 17491 Peralada Tel.34 972 53 83 16• Cal Sagristà- Mediterranean, European cuisine, has a lovely terrace. C/ Carrer de la Rodona, 2 17491 Peralada Tel. 34 972 53 83 01• La Parrillada- Mediterranean cuisine (in the gardens of the Castle, ample buffet without any doubt a very good choice) Other things:• In the centre of the town at the Plaza del Carmen, there is a bakery that makes exquisite bread.Supermarkets:• Roses, Carrefour 4.9 km.• Castelló d’Empúries, Mercadona 6.7 km.• Figueres, Mercadona 11 km.• Figueres Carrefour, 5 km.Markets: • In Figueres, fruits and vegetables, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 to 14 Plaça del Gra and Plaça Catalunya.Roses : 20 km.What to visit:• Recommended, La Ciudadela is a fortified enclosure, during the 11th century it was built around the Romanesque monastery of Santa María de Roses. Extended in the twelfth century, finally on the sixteenth century the final fortification was built. Beaches:• Paltja d’Almadrava, 17 Km. The prettiest of all.• Platja de Canyelles Petites, 16 km. Beautiful!!! Cadaqués: 35km.Without doubt the most beautiful town of the Costa Brava, Cadaqués breathes a special atmosphere, its streets, its people, its beaches and coves, a must, top Mediterranean essence.What to visit:• The whole town is beautiful.• The house of the painter Salvador Dalí in Porlligat (essential)• Cap de Creus, Natural place, recommended to visit the lighthouse, at the end of the road, there is a very original and informal restaurant with a terrace and great sea views.Where to eat:Some more restaurants, difficult choice. • Casa Anita- Mediterranean cuisine (small charming restaurant recommended)Carrer Miquel Rosset, 16, 17488 Cadaqués 34 972 25 84 71• Compartir- Cocina Mediterránea, Europea, Española. L’Escala: 34 Km. What to visit:• Undoubtedly the most recommended are the ruins of Empuries, Greek and Roman. During the summer, plays and visits are organized in different languages.• Sant Martí d’Empúries, Small medieval village, next to L’Escala, the surroundings are beautiful, several restaurants.
