The surrounding area of Benamahoma offers a wide variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, cycling and bird watching. One of the main attractions of the area is the famous Garganta Verde trail, an impressive hiking route that runs through a gorge with vertical walls over 400 metres high.
