Description
Welcome to Öland and this nice and bright cottage near the harbor and the beaches in Byxelkrok. You have only 500 meters to the water and you quickly reach the beautiful beaches on foot. The house has a large lovely terrace with outdoor furniture where you can enjoy the sun. Part of the terrace is under a roof, where you can enjoy in the shade of something cooling to drink or relax with a good book. If you want to explore the island, there are 4 bicycles at your disposal, maybe you take a trip to Bödabukten with its unbeatable kilometers of sandy beaches. The house, which is on one level, has an open kitchen / living room, a bedroom with two beds that can be put together into a double bed, a bedroom with a bunk bed and a bathroom with toilet and shower. You have a large lovely lawn around the house, why not challenge each other on a batch of "Kubb"? To the center of Byxelkrok it is only 400 m, here is incredibly beautiful, a true holiday paradise and you can enjoy strolling around in the small shops down by the boat cabins. Here you can enjoy a piece of food and good drinks in one of the many restaurants. Or why not bring an ice cream to enjoy away on the wonderful pebble beach with its beautiful headland. Here it has become a bit of a tradition to enjoy the sunset. To the south along the water you will find a lovely sandy / pebble beach with a bathing jetty, where you can swim. If you want more privacy and let the eye enjoy, there are wonderful, desolate pebble beaches even further south. You only have about 5 km to Bödabukten and Böda Sand which suits those who want more activity. For a little calmer beach stay, Lyckesand and Homrevet are suitable. You have a wide range of leisure activities nearby: Golf, horse riding, mini golf, fishing on the shores of the Baltic Sea or from fishing boats. Many arts and crafts exhibitions, farm sales, museums and the famous Viking village attract many visitors to Öland. Other attractions are Borgholm's castle ruins, the lighthouse Långe Erik and the limestone formations at Byrum Sandvik and Neptuni fields and Trollskogen with its Naturum are all worth a visit. On the opposite mainland, Kalmar with its castle and the famous old town is a popular destination. Blå Jungfrun, an island between Oskarshamn and Öland with a large labyrinth, is well worth a day trip
