An older timber house of 21 sqm with compact living. The house is situated on a high ground with a view of the lakes Barkensjöarna. The plot is clearly separated by the slope towards the next house, which is a permanent residence. As usual in Dalarna, the house stands on plinths and is only used for summer residence, the house is suitable for a couple or a small family. Pets are welcome. Despite the small area, it accommodates two sleeping places in the form of a sofa bed that can be made into two 90 beds, there is a sofa corner, TV and a small kitchenette with all the necessities, bathroom with shower and towel warmer. The plot is situated high with many nice places to socialize and pleasant surroundings. There is outdoor furniture and a barbecue at a beautiful place in the garden. It is 500 meters down to the public bathing area with rock baths, in the pictures you see pictures of several bathing areas that are available and there are bicycles that you can borrow from the owners. There are nice walking paths and hiking trails in and around Söderbärke, some of the stretches are also suitable as cycle paths. You can go kayaking and canoeing and why not try your luck at fishing for those who are interested in fishing. Fishing licenses can be ordered at ifiske.se Söderbärke is a settlement in Smedjebacken municipality and church village in Söderbärke parish. At the Hembygdsgården in Söderbärke, you can see old objects and exhibitions, enjoy coffee on the grounds from Bagarstugan's café and shop for local handicrafts in the Craftsmanship Shop. Hembygdsgården is open during the summer when Bagarstugan's cafe is open. At Bagarstugan's café you can enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee on the beautiful grounds by Lake Barken or sit down in the Bagarstugan from the 18th century. Here you can find ice cream, homemade coffee bread and sandwiches. At the Handicraft stall you can find high-quality local handicrafts, such as carpets, ceramics, wire work, knitted or crocheted pices and jewellery. Söderbärkeparken - Folkets Hus - Aktivitetshallen, is located by the beach Barken strand in central Söderbärke. This gem is located on a slope towards the water with the Folkets Hus closest to the village. The big stage where it has housed big bands, such as Björn Afzelius, Mikael Wiehe and Jerry Williams. Here you can also in the summer have a glass of beer, wine, soft drink or some food. Maybe a little music but above all a fantastic environment! In the village there is a pizzeria and Walhöll brewery. Malingsbo-Kloten offers large areas with forests, lakes and waterways. There is something to do here during all months of the year. You can swim, ride horses, go fishing, paddle, hunt, cycle, play mini golf, pick berries and mushrooms or hike in the forest, there are hundreds of kilometers of paths and trails. For the shopping enthusiast, it is approx. 30 kilometers to Ludvika. Ludvika simply has something for everyone! The city that was born in 1919 offers varied shopping and nice cafes and restaurants. Smaller stores are located side by side with chain companies. In Engelbrekt Galleria there are 16 stores under one roof. It is possible to take the train to Söderbärke, the landlord will be happy to pick you up on arrival and drive you on the return journey. It is possible to borrow the owner's car during your stay with your own car consumption. Welcome to beautiful Dalarna up close.
