Description: Beautiful newly renovated house in Gårdstorp with its own orangery where you have a magical view of the beautiful fields and Kalmar Sound. The house has been renovated with respect for period-specific building techniques in turn-of-the-century style and using exclusively natural materials, giving the house a historic charm. The color scheme and linseed oil painting are done according to building conservation practices and by Öland-based Historiska Färger. Down by the sea, you can enjoy the beautiful rocky beach, the tranquility, and a dip in the blue water. There are also outdoor furniture available. The house is located on the same property as the house's hospitable owner. As he has more accommodations, he is not always on site. You have the entire garden and the lovely deck next to his house at your disposal. There are both a dining set and lounge furniture. The charming orangery has beautiful older windows. Here, you can enjoy the magical view late into the evening. The house also has a cute little entrance porch. You have a beautiful open living area with a great sense of space as the ceiling is open up to the ridge. Here, you will find the kitchen, dining area, and a sofa. You sleep in a bedroom with fantastic views of the beautiful landscape and Kalmar Sound. There is a double bed and a sofa bed for two. You also have a sleeping loft, accessed via a steep ladder. Here, there are two beds directly under the roof ridge with magical views. You have a nice fully tiled bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. There is the possibility to do laundry if needed. Southern Öland is a quieter, more pleasant part of Öland. Here, you can enjoy the rugged Öland Alvaret, the beautiful stone walls, and windmills. There is a unique plant and animal life here. There are plenty of beaches, such as Sandviks beach and Sebybadet. Gårdstorp is a lovely small village with about 100 residents. In Södra Möckleby (1.5km away), there are grocery stores, gas stations, pizzerias, and second-hand shops open during the summer. Grönhögens golf course is 11km away. There is much to see and discover. You are 20km away from Öland's southern tip Ottenby with the lighthouse Långe Jan, bird station, restaurant, and Naturum. Eketorp Castle is Sweden's only reconstructed ancient castle with houses from both the Iron Age and the Middle Ages. It is beautifully located in the middle of Öland's World Heritage Site, right next to the hiking trail Mörbylångaleden. There is also a café. Eckelsudde is popular for its seal colony and fine birdwatching. Grönhögens limestone quarry is the island's most exciting bathing spot where you can take refreshing dips in the clear wate Layout:
