Sorgo Palace is a family run business which has accommodation and a restaurant downstairs, The family and staff are exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome, As guests we received a 10% discount on meals at the restaurant which is a nice little touch I thought and a good marketing exercise also, The rooms were renovated only a month ago so everything is lovely and new, The location is ideal and the town of Ston is a very beautiful little town with great history dating back centuries, It also has exceptional fresh seafood on offer here, This was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to Croatia and one I would recommend to anyone making the trip, At the very least, if you are time poor I recommend stopping here for lunch or a day trip but if you have a bit more time you would be mad not to stay here for a night or two,

We spent 1 night at Rooms Sorgo Palace as we had to take the day after the ferry to Mljet Island, Staff is very friendly and helpful, They provided us a pass for free parking, Rooms are on top of the restaurant run by the owners so you find all the time someone to welcome you, Breakfast is included and is good, We had to leave early in the morning and the staff told us they could prepare a take away breakfast and so they did it, They are extremely proactive and ready to help, Rooms are spacious, well furnished and 100% clean, Beds are comfortable and rooms are equipped with a mini fridge and a flat screen TV, Our rooms was facing the main street and hence there could have been some noise, but since windows have double glass, we were not bother by the noise coming from the street, It is one of the best accommodation where we have been so far in Croatia, better than other 3 stars hotels where we have been, The staff provided us with a WIFI code but the signal was poor since we were staying at the third floor of the building, The building does not have a lift, so if you have any mobility issues, it is important you highlight it to the staff while booking so that they can give you a room at a lower lever, The staff also helped us with bags and luggage and they brought them at our floor, In terms of location, the accommodation is right in the center of Ston, so if you want to stay in the village you cannot get a better location, From Prapratno ferry harbor (to go to Mljet island) the accommodation is 10 mins by car, so it is a very convenient location as well,
