The region has plenty of forest and heathland, for example in Twente, Salland and the Vecht valley. You will find nice restaurants in the area, for example in Ommen on the Vecht, and for the children a visit to amusement park Hellendoorn, Slagharen and Monkey Town guarantees an unforgettable day.
